Principal Functions
  • Monitor vendor performance against evaluation criteria defined within contracts to ensure vendors provide service and support as outlined in the service contract terms in order to achieve performance and Etisalat strategic goals.
  • Evaluate and measure compliance as against service deliverables.
  • Oversee Etisalat contracts SOWs/ SLAs and design documents, evaluate/monitor vendors� compliance to contracts.
  • Vendor Services Optimization
  • Vendor Ranking, Score-carding and rewarding
  • Conduct regular contract reviews for major and critical contracts, to ensure that the full contractual and technical obligations are being delivered by the vendors and to guarantee contractual compliance by the vendors and all the concerned stakeholders.
  • Vendor contract KPI�s and SLA�s monthly evaluation.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensuring the vendors compliance to every activity/requirement promised in the contract to provide service and support.
  • Maintaining vendor past and current performance database record.
  • Conduct periodic audit on contract deliverables to track consistency
  • Organize yearly workshops to intimate technical user teams on various identified service advantages and also identify loopholes experienced.
  • Manage and analyse RFP technical evaluation in vendor selection process to achieve optimum technical capability as a key vendor selection criterion.
  • Manage and evaluate vendor invoices credibly to align with contract/ service availability and quality
  • Collaborate with key vendor leadership personnel to provide continuous process improvement.
  • Provide feedback on contracts loopholes and participate in the negotiation of new contracts and changes to existing contracts.
  • Recommend/ comment on all request for Changes, Claims and Delay Penalty waiver.
  • Evaluate vendor invoices against agreed SLA/KPI documents and issue penalty/bonus
  • Maintain a strong relationship amongst vendors and Etisalat related stakeholders to ensure goal alignment, flexibility and productivity of the vendor.
Educational Requirements
  • First degree in Communication/Arts/Engineering/Sciences or any relevant discipline.
Experience,Skills & Competencies
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience with at least two (2) in a role that involves evaluation of vendors and contract performance, as well as vendor payment evaluation in telecommunications.
  • Experience in managed services, contracts and vendor management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work within complex cross-functional teams
  • Action oriented quick learner, initiative, ambitious and has experience in driving change and delivering measurable results.
  • Knowledge of best practices as it concerns contract management and operational strategy.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio.

Role Summary/Purpose
  • GE Africa’s Early Career Development Program (ECDP) is a twelve month development program designed to give recent university/college graduates challenging work assignments, training and development, and exposure to leadership.
  • The program combines hands on experience with formal classroom training to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to become leaders in GE.
Essential Responsibilities
  • This position will be within the Global Growth Business based in Lagos, Nigeria or Accra, Ghana and are open to recent university/college graduates in Law.
  • Responsible for reviewing, updating and tracking the following documents: Powers of Attorney; Non-Disclosure Agreements; leases, first level review of agreements and other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Research and collect data, review legislative trends including updating advise obtained from external counsel and communicate these to the legal team and implement early warning system
  • Update manual and digital repositories (support central libraries and shared drives) with latest materials;
  • Promote frequent use of repositories to ensure user awareness of key information and documents;

Qualifications/Requirements

  • LLB; BL; LLM (LLM not mandatory)
  • 2 years of legal experience.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written French
  • Authorized to work in your country full-time and without restriction. For Nigeria, must have NYSC discharge or exemption certificate in hand

Job Description

  • IRC has been present in Nigeria since 2012 when the organization responded to flooding in Kogi state.  In early 2014, IRC opened a field office in Mubi town of Adamawa state in NE Nigeria followed by offices in Yola (Adamawa state) in November 2014 and Maiduguri (Borno state) in October 2015. IRC has ECHO, OFDA, and Gates funds to respond to health, nutrition, GBV, and WASH activities.  In late 2014 and early 2015, IRC received additional funds from SV, SIDA, USAID, and UNICEF to carry out education, child protection, general protection, emergency food distributions, shelter support, and NFI distributions to newly displaced IDPs. In late 2015 into early 2016, IRC received Swiss and UNHCR funds for additional emergency response humanitarian-focused programming in NE Nigeria.
  • The Grants and Communications Coordinator is directly supervised by the Country Director (CD), but will work in close collaboration with the Deputy Director of Programs (DDP) for report and proposal preparation. The position is based in Yola, Adamawa State in the NE with occasional travel to Mubi, Maiduguri (Borno state), and Abuja.
Basic Responsibilities
Communication:
  • Design a country program communication strategy
  • Work with program sector leads to develop and produce IRC information and communication materials such as brochures, newsletters, contribution to global IRC news bulletin, and annual and sector reviews.
  • Assist in training program staff on communication strategies and facilitate development of success stories, lessons learned, personal experiences (blogs), etc from field-based program staff
  • Provide briefing papers and situational reports as well as support NY and UK communications departments in development of external communication tools for stakeholders both in and out of country on IRC’s work in Nigeria.
Grants & Compliance:
  • Ensure that narrative reports to donors are submitted on time and are coherent and accurately written (quarterly, interim and/or final report) and liaise with finance to ensure finance reports accompany narrative reports, when required
  • Distribute and share with all IRC staff copies of all documentation (grant proposals, reports, budget etc) related to their specific programs.
  • Provide training and mentoring to various program and M&E staff on priorities and essential practices necessary to ensure high quality donor reports and proposals.
  • Maintain hard and soft files on IRC Nigeria grant portfolio
  • Monitor and support the use of grants management tools such as FM01, BvAs, and OTIS  to ensure accurate tracking of grants reporting
Proposal Development:
  • In coordination with the DDP, lead program staff teams in the development of quality proposals. Act as the lead writer for all proposals.
  • Liaise with NY grants units, technical units and IRC UK to ensure proposals meet internal standards, apply IRC Program Framework principles and are donor compliant
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field.
  • Excellent oral and written reporting skills and demonstrated ability to write and edit reports under deadline pressure.
  • Competence with Windows, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in unstable security environments
  • Previous experience working with international partners, in particular UN, SIDA, USAID/OFDA and ECHO
  • Fluent written and spoken English required.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports and proposals and to meet required reporting deadlines
  • Working knowledge of budget development and management
  • Experience conducting assessments, preferably using participatory approaches
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting
