Job Title: Financial Operations Officer

Reports To: Team Lead, Financial Control

Function: Finance
 Location: Lagos

Purpose Statement:
To improve and develop Financial Operations in Forte Oil in line with global best practices. Role is also responsible for ensuring timeliness and accuracy in the processing of accounts receivables/payables.

Key Accountabilities:
·         To ensure effective and efficient timeliness and accuracy in the processing of accounts receivables/payables.
·         To assist in ensuring effective and efficient processing of vendor invoices.
·         To ensure that all schedules in respect of accounts receivables/payables are prepared promptly and in alignment with Finance department.
·         To maintain ageing reports of debts, outstanding payments to suppliers and expense advances.
·         To mainatain a comprehensive record of all approved and processed invoices, bills and payment supports.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The position requires Bsc in accounting related discipline. Professional accounting qualification is an added advantage. The incumbent needs to be able to think strategically and be able to find solutions to address the unique needs in the company

The following skills are essential:
·         High level of integrity
·         Basic accounting principles
·         Adequate knowledge of financial processes
·         One (1) year relevant experience.

Working Relationships:
Internal: Team Lead Fin Ops, Financial Controller, Finance Team
External: Service providers
