OK! Here is the deal, you eventually get the interview invite or you are hoping to be interviewed for a role. Either ways, you need to know some tips.

See some quick tips below:

    1.  Look Clean and Crisp

Also, the way we dress can boost our confidence and also make others react positively to us.  A famous quote by Judith Rasband (An international authority on image consulting and management) captures this thus: ‘The way we dress affects the way we think; the way we feel; the way we act; and the way others react to us.'

Below are a few things to pay attention to in regards to your dressing:

i.                     Well ironed shirts/clothes/suit.
ii.                   For ladies, please try and steer clear off mini skirts or gown or clothes with glitters or studs all over it. Especially if you are not going to be interviewed for a role in the entertainment industry. If the interview is for corporate role, you will do well to avoid jean as well.
iii.                  It will be nice to avoid loud or screaming colors that will distract the interviewer from the potency of what you say. The distraction may end up being a turn off.
iv.                 Make sure your shoes are neat or well-polishedImage result for image of a well polished shoe

v.                   Try all within your best to ensure your Hair looks neat-well combed.  For the 'damsel lady', avoid flowing hair or waist sweeping human hair that will require you arranging or rearranging with your hand. If at the time you got the interview  invite, you have the shoulder sweeper on, it is advisable that your hair is  neatly tucked or folded in in.

              2. Have copies of your CV handy, that you will give out to the Interviewer

I have had reason to be on a panel and the candidates don’t have copies of their CV.
This could set you off as a person who fails to prepare or one who does not  takes initiative. This may not out rightly disqualify you, but it leaves recluses of thoughts about you to the interviewer. Remember, proper preparation prevents poor performance.

Try as much as possible to be conversant with the role you are being interviewed for. No cramming  please, so you wont be stuck. Read up stuffs you will be comfortable with  and have a good knowledge of the role. This will set you off as an intelligent person. Every organisation loves to hire intelligent employees!

           4.   Be Punctual to the Interview Venue

Plan to leave home early. Give ample time for unprecedented delays. There is nothing as fluttering as being late for an interview. There is nothing as fluttering as being late. It can rub a general uneasiness on one and unset one's nerves. This may on the long run make one feel uneasy while being interviewed. Also, there are incidence where being late on some interview dates can even lead a candidate to missing the opportunity to be interviewed.

      5. Pray and Ask for the Help of God

Never underestimate the far reaching effect of prayers. A praying individual is a winning one.

Summary

The summary of this is that you need to be prepared from your appearance from the top (head) to your feet (shoes). Also, keep your brain prepared by fortifying it with knowledge of the role you are being interviewed for and the company you are being interviewed at. Also, be prepared to be prompt to the interview venue. Arthur Ashe  aptly brings this write up to  a close: “One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation”.
