PwC is seeking a broad range of specialists practitioners across the power and energy technical areas. 

Qualified consultants will have:
At least 10 years of relevant experience and an academic background relevant to the technical area described.
Substantial experience in emerging or developing economies – particularly in Africa.
A Master’s degree or PhD are preferred but not required.
Experience with bilateral or multilateral development or donor institutions.
Fluency in English, French, Portuguese or another language spoken in Africa.

Roles & Responsibilities

Power Utility Planning, Performance Improvement or Turnaround Specialists
Ideal candidates should demonstrate substantial experience supporting utilities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across all elements of operations. This experience should include support for utility operations, human resource management, information technology (including SCADA), governance structures, planning, and financial management. Specific areas of experience include experience with:
Development or update of power sector plans
Design or implementation of utility turnaround programs
Design or implementation of generation, transmission, or distribution effectiveness programs
Design or implementation of loss reduction programs
Development of demand-side management programs
Implementation of electrification programs
Implementation of utility privatization or commercialization projects
