2.         The University therefore invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the under-listed vacant positions in the following disciplines: Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science,
Psychology, Criminology and Security Studies, Mass Communication, International Relations, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science.
3.         ACADEMIC POSITIONS
            Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, Assistant Lecturer, Senior Librarian, Librarian I, Librarian II.

4.         REQUIREMENTS.
Professor
  • Possession of Ph.D degree from a recognized University.
  • Extensive and outstanding University Teaching and Administrative experience for at least ten years.
  • Evidence of leadership in research and successful supervision of postgraduate students.
  • Outstanding research and scholarly publications and or patent invention and design, in recognized, and reputable international journals, 80% of such publications should have appeared in print, and there must be an identifiable contribution to knowledge in the field of specialization.
Associate Professor/Reader
  • As for Professor with a minimum of 8 years experience.
Senior Lecturer
  • Possession of a Ph.D degree from a recognized University
  • Previous adequate University teaching and research  experience of at least five years
  • Substantial and quality research publications and or patent/inventions and or designs in reputable national and international journals. 75% of such publications should have appeared in print.
Lecturer I
  • At least possession of a Ph.D degree from a recognized University, or an accredited relevant professional qualification.
  • Evidence of a minimum of three years post Ph.D teaching and research experience.
  • Evidence of scholarly publications and or patent/ invention/designs in reputable journals.
Lecturer II
  • Ph.D degree from a reputable University in an appropriate area of specialization;
  • Evidence of interest in research possibly with some post-doctoral research experience.   
Assistant Lecturer
  • Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University;
  • Must have evidence of registration for Ph.D or almost concluding a Ph.D programme in relevant field.
LIBRARY  
Principal Librarian
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree plus
  • Possession of a minimum of a Master’s and a Ph.D degree in Librarianship/Information Science from a recognized University plus 5 years post Ph.D experience.
  • Adequate professional experience (without a Ph.D) after a minimum of 9years plus
  • A minimum of eight publications.

Librarian I
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree plus
  • Possession of a Master’s degree in librarianship from a recognized university plus
  • Adequate professional experience of a minimum of three years
Librarian II
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Master degree in Librarianship from a recognized University.
Higher Library Officer
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of five O’Level Credits including English Language.
  • Must have a B.Sc/HND in Library Science.
Library Officer
  • Candidates must possess five O’Level credits including English Language;
  • Must have an ND in Library Science.
ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL STAFF
REGISTRY
Senior Assistant Registrar
  • Candidate must have a good honours degree from a recognized University in the Arts or Social Sciences. Possession of a Master’s Degree will be an advantage.
  • Candidates must possess minimum of eight (8) years relevant post qualification work experience, especially in a tertiary Institution. 
  • Must be computer literate.  
Assistant Registrar
  • As for Senior Assistant Registrar with a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualifications work experience, especially in a tertiary Institution.
Public Relations Officer (PRO)
  • As for Assistant Registrar with postgraduate qualifications and relevant work experience in Public Relations, Marketing or/Business Administration.  

Administrative Officer I
  • As for Assistant Registrar with a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification/work experience. 

Confidential Secretary I 
  • Must possess B.Sc degree/HND in Secretarial Studies/Office Technology & Management 
  • Have at least 5 O’Level credits including English Language.
Confidential Secretary II
  • Must possess ND with a minimum of Lower Credit in Secretarial Studies;
  • Have at least 5 O’Level credits including English Language;
Catering Officer
  • Candidate must possess B.Sc/HND in Hotel and Catering Management with a minimum of 2years post NYSC Cognate experience or a Diploma in Catering/culinary Management with five years experience.

BURSARY
Accountant II
  • Must possess a good honours degree in Accountancy, Economics, or Banking & Finance from a recognized University;
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of five O’Level Credits including English and Mathematics;
  • Must be computer literate.


Executive Officer (Accounts)
  • Candidate must possess ND with a minimum of Lower Credit in Accounts or Financial Studies.
  • Must possess five O’Level credit including English Language
ICT UNIT
Programmer
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Communication Technology with a minimum of 3years relevant post qualification work experience.
Technician
  • Candidates must possess ND in Computer Science with a minimum of 3years relevant work experience. 
LABORATORY SERVICES
Technologist II
  • Must possess five O’Level credits including English Language, plus HND from any reputable institutions in relevant areas;
  • Must have registered with institute of Science Laboratory Technology. 
Farm Officer
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Agriculture and must possess a minimum of 3-years relevant post qualification work experience.
HEALTH CENTRE
Medical Officer
  • Candidate must possess MBBS or equivalent from a recognized University; 
  • Possess full registration of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, plus three years cognate experience.
Nursing Officer I
  • Good honours degree in Nursing or NRN/SRN Certificate plus registration with NMCN;
  • Candidates must possess five O’Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics.
Head of Security Service
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with certification in Management/Safety and Security operations and considerable experience in Security Services in a reputable Corporate Organization.

  • Candidates without a degree but with considerable experience as officers in the Nigerian Armed Forces or the Nigeria Police are also eligible to apply.
