PwC is seeking a broad range of specialists practitioners across the power and energy technical areas. 

Qualified consultants will have:
At least 10 years of relevant experience and an academic background relevant to the technical area described.
Substantial experience in emerging or developing economies – particularly in Africa.
A Master’s degree or PhD are preferred but not required.
Experience with bilateral or multilateral development or donor institutions.
Fluency in English, French, Portuguese or another language spoken in Africa.
 
Roles & Responsibilities
Power Sector Legal, Regulatory, or Sector Structure Specialists
Ideal candidates should demonstrate substantial experience with various elements of power sector reform programs. This experience should include support for electricity regulators, energy ministries, or legislative bodies. Specific areas of experience include experience with:
Power sector reform strategy development including development and implementation of market models
Power sector planning frameworks and development of master plans
Development or assessment of regulatory frameworks, policy, and legal environments
Development or evaluation of tariff models and structures (including feed in tariffs)
Development of or support for regional power trading programs or regional power pools
Design or implementation of energy efficiency or low emissions programs
Design or implementation of social inclusion programs
